The turn of the year is always a time to reflect on and appreciate all that we have achieved together. 2024 has been no exception: a year of transformations, challenges and, above all, significant achievements. At Hedyla we have grown as a company, strengthened our product offering and expanded our collaborations with customers and partners in the logistics sector.

But above all, 2024 has made something very clear to us: the power of a committed team and the importance of listening to and learning from our customers. These two pillars have been essential to turn challenges into opportunities and to continue innovating in a sector as dynamic as ours.

We would like to share with you a summary of the milestones achieved this year, divided into the key areas that make Hedyla's progress possible: our team, our customers, our products, our participation in events and our expectations for 2025.

TEAM

None of what we have achieved would be possible without our team. This 2024 has been a special challenge, marked by major changes in management following the departure of two of our founders. This process has brought us even closer together, proving once again that resilience and team commitment are Hedyla's main driving force.

We are committed to the professional growth and development of each member, fostering a collaborative, motivating and inclusive environment. Throughout the year, each department has demonstrated its ability to adapt to challenges and transform ideas into concrete results. Thanks to our collective effort, we continue to strengthen our corporate culture and generate value for our customers and employees.

Our customers are at the center of everything we do. This 2024 has been a year in which we have added new customers and, at the same time, strengthened relationships with existing ones. These collaborations are not just about more revenue, they also inspire us and help us build a better product.

We have also experienced a growth in the number of partnerships, with new allies joining our network and others showing a clear interest in collaborating with us. These relationships are critical as we continue to expand our impact on the logistics industry.

PRODUCT

This year we have consolidated and improved our technological solutions, focusing on the development of tools that provide real value to our customers. Improvements include advances in real-time tracking, document management, efficient notifications and the final version of our warehouse management system. We have also made great strides in projects that will see the light of day in 2025, designed to further optimize logistics operations and improve our users' experience.

2025 will bring key functionalities such as advanced planning without the need for exact coordinates, complete reoptimization of plans, a new communication module, dynamic reservation systems and visual tools that will make planning more intuitive.

EVENTS

This year, our participation in trade fairs and events has been key to consolidate our visibility and strengthen relationships. As exhibitors, we have been present at relevant events such as SIL, Logistics & Automation and, for the first time, LogisForum. As visitors, we have also participated in high-impact fairs such as Alimentaria, BNEW, MWC, Smart City Expo and “La Música del Vi”, the latter as guests of a client.

We especially highlight our presence in the Professional Logistics Awards, where we were awarded as winners, and our classification as finalists in the CEL Awards for the best startup, awards that are now in their XXXIV edition and where the most important players in the sector meet. These awards reinforce our commitment to continue leading the technological transformation in logistics.

This year we will also focus on expanding our team, attracting talent that shares our vision and strengthening our collaborative work culture. We will continue to actively participate in key industry events and explore new opportunities to grow with our customers and partners.

2023 has been a year of great changes for Hedyla, in which the company has matured and strengthened itself, both at product and team level, to face the challenges of the coming years.

During this year, Hedyla has experienced a remarkable progress at both product and commercial level. Numerous functionalities have been developed and marketed with great success, in order to offer a more complete product covering the most important logistics processes. These developments have enabled our customers to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and adapt quickly to an increasingly dynamic market.

We have also strengthened our strategic alliances, working closely with leading companies in the logistics industry to integrate cutting-edge technologies into our products. This has positioned us as a benchmark in innovation and has enabled us to offer more complete solutions adapted to the changing needs of our customers.

The past year has taught us valuable lessons. As we faced unexpected challenges, we also discovered our capacity for adaptation and resilience. The pandemic, changes in trade regulations and fluctuations in market demand reminded us of the importance of flexibility and agility in our approach.

Our team came together with determination and creativity to overcome obstacles, reinforcing our collaborative culture and our commitment to excellence in delivering logistics software solutions.

The team has matured, we have consolidated processes in the different departments and we have worked to improve the internal organization to be able to provide utility to a larger number of clients, combining a reorganization of the team with the intense development of new functionalities.

In this regard, the appointment of Víctor Dorado as the new Director of Engineering, focused on leading and organizing product development.

CUSTOMERS

The year 2023 was once again a record year in terms of turnover and sales. The main objective of the sales team was to consolidate the existing customer portfolio achieved in the expansion carried out in 2021 and 2022, and to give extra support to the engineering team with the challenges we had at the product level. We believe that we have more than achieved both objectives.

It is also worth mentioning that in 2023 we have added a total of 20 new customers, among them renowned companies such as Pikolín, Condis Supermercats, Ametller Origen and Carrefour. Undoubtedly, these collaborations help us to continue improving our product and add new challenges for the future.

Although international expansion is not currently a business objective for Hedyla, we also mention the entry into markets in which we were not currently operating such as the Italian, English and Mexican markets through various new collaborations.

From the commercial department we will continue to provide a high quality of service to our customers in customer follow-up and support, and we must consolidate Hedyla's presence and visibility in the national market. PRODUCT

In the course of the year 2023, we have experienced a remarkable breakthrough at the product level. We have dedicated ourselves to the evolution and development of a new modular product version, Transport Management System (TMS), which is already being used by most of our customers.

This new version gives us the ability to manage not only everything that was possible in the previous version, especially with regard to the last mile, but also encompasses the comprehensive management of transportation through the TMS. Now, from a single platform, we can manage crucial aspects such as rates, invoices, trips, carriers, suppliers, crossdockings, Proof of Deliveries (PoDs), customer portal, carrier portal, among others. In addition, we offer infinite flexibility in the management of users and roles.

The past year has been a period of intense work on the product side, where numerous innovative functionalities have been incorporated to shape a complete and agile tool for integrated transport management.

EVENTS

This 2023 has been full of events both as visitors (4YFN & MWC Barcelona, Advanced Factories, Fruit Attraction, Infarma Barcelona among others) and exhibitors (IOTSWC Barcelona, Empack Bilbao, Pick & Pack Madrid, SIL Barcelona and Logistics & Automation Madrid).

We have participated in interesting conferences such as Soluciones Digitales a los Retos de la Logística, AgroTech, InnoDelta Hack and won awards such as the Premis Delta and Premis Startup.

All this has helped us not only to be more visible and make our product known, but also to contact potential customers.

This past year we have played an important role in consolidating and promoting the Hedyla brand. We have strengthened our presence and expanded our influence in social networks, increasing interaction with potential customers and consolidating relationships with the logistics community.

Looking ahead to 2024

The coming year promises to be an exciting and challenging period. We are excited to continue to innovate and take our logistics technology to new levels.

Our goal this year is to continue advancing to become a benchmark in logistics software, first nationally, but without losing sight of the international market. Consolidate current customers, expanding the functionalities and improving the current ones, to offer the best TMS in quality / price ratio for both manufacturers and logistics operators of different sizes.

In addition, we are committed to continue growing as a responsible company, adopting sustainable practices and contributing to the development of a more efficient and environmentally friendly logistics industry.

During this 2022 the logistics sector has had its ups and downs, it has been a roller coaster. In addition to the crisis in the supply chain, there has been an increase in fuel prices, job creation in the sector has stagnated and now the logistics industry is warning of a 5% drop in shipments.

But not everything is negative. The growing interest in and importance of process digitalization has once again added value to our software, and this has strengthened our position.

2022 has been a year where new customers have bet on our solution and existing ones have continued to trust us. The Hedyla team has consolidated and has made a great effort.

Thanks also to the strong investment received for product creation, we have developed the new version of TMS and the creation of new products such as WMS.

Hedyla's visibility in networks and social media has grown exponentially and our participation in events, fairs and activities has been recognized.

But let's take a closer look at some key points as we look ahead to 2023:

Once again this year we must congratulate each and every member of the Hedyla team for the great work done. Thanks to everyone we continue to take logistics to the next level. Some have left the ship but others have wanted to join us on this journey, which will undoubtedly take us to new destinations with which to undertake new projects and continue with those that are underway.

CUSTOMERS

2022 has been a record year in terms of turnover and sales. We have added 30 new clients from different sectors and verticals to our existing portfolio, including Campofrío España, Innovalogic, Smith&Nephew, Cárnicas Tello, Procubitos…

Some new sectors we have entered, such as passenger transportation, with Gómez Family. We have also set foot in the Latin American market with Correo Uruguayo.

We have also opted for Partnerships such Fagor Electrónica, Tookane or Firmar Online to consolidate our product offering and in 2023 we will continue to work with them to work on commercial scalability.

PRODUCT

A tough year for the engineering team, which has put all its efforts into moving all new and existing projects forward. The focus has also been on product development. The consolidated team has been joined by the trust placed in it by major companies, all of which has been discussed above. The new product enhancement during this 2022 is key to faster developments and to cover more functionalities and use cases needed in logistics.

By 2023, by replacing the current product with the new one, we will have a complete product offering for transportation. This will lead to a large increase of daily users of Hedyla software. Large projects such as Campofrío or Innovalogic will make it possible to use it in trucks and/or vehicles.

EVENTS

During 2022 we have been present in several events as exhibitors (e-show Barcelona, SIL Barcelona, BNEW Barcelona, Logistics & Automation Madrid, Smart City Expo Barcelona). We have also visited other fairs such as Pick & Pack Madrid, Inter SICOP Madrid, Mobile World Congress Barcelona, Meat Attraction Madrid, Alimentaria Barcelona, Fruit Attraction Madrid, among many others. We have been invited to participate with some talks such as Supply Chain and Logistics Congress - The Procurement, online and in Milan or the French Chamber of Barcelona. All of them have given us the opportunity to meet new customers and also discover what their needs are.

This 2023 will be a year where our participation as exhibitors will grow. To last year's events we will also add the Internet of Things in Barcelona and the Logistics & Automation in Bilbao. We have a long year ahead of us and we are sure that Hedyla's participation will grow.

We continue to work to be even more visible in networks and media and to take logistics to the next level.

In addition, part of the team gave us a presentation on the operation of the logistics nodes project that had been under development for quite some time.

Next, we started with our first meeting of this year's semester, in which we have managed to develop 5 major projects, which will help us to meet our objectives for this year, including our growth as a company.

After lunch, we headed to the rented rural house near the Costa Brava where we were surrounded by animals. Both inside and outside the rural house, various activities were organized, from pool games to werewolf/mafia type games and Mario Kart tournaments.

Through all these activities, we have gotten to know each other better, bonded and generated new memories to continue working as a team.

We want to thank you for having a wonderful and talented team that continues to grow and work hard every day to take logistics to the next level.

The main focus of the fair was digitalization and innovation 4.0, sustainability and talent.

From Hedyla we did not want to miss the opportunity to present our solutions for the optimization of logistics processes and we have done it through on-site demos during three intense days. It is very gratifying to see the interest that this activity has generated, and how curious and interested people have been approaching throughout the days to learn first hand how the solution works and the benefits that a company can obtain thanks to its use. 

COPE Cataluña and Andorra have invited us to participate in an interview within the program "Herrera de COPE Catalonia and Andorra" with José Miguel Cruz at SIL. Guillem Muñoz, CTO & CO-Founder of Hedyla explained to the listeners how and why Hedyla was born. Some of the topics discussed were the importance of the use of data through software based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, the present and future challenges affecting the sector and how the demand in logistics is becoming more and more demanding.

The meeting point between product and demand has been the SIL Networking Circle where Ferran Lavilla, commercial director of Hedyla has been present. A speed dating has given him the opportunity to present our product quickly and then, in the after work, to expand more in depth about the solutions with the most interested people.

The need and interest in the use of software tools at SIL was evident in the number of companies in the sector already offering these types of solutions. The stand was visited by many companies interested in implementing a route optimizer, a tms (transport management system), a fleet management software and even consulting services. To all of them we have explained the tools and how they can take their logistics companies to the next level.

A very positive balance on our part that will be transformed in the coming weeks into meetings to explain our product in more detail to all interested companies.

This year has been more crowded than last year thanks to the relaxation of the pandemic restrictions. On the first day, we have had the opportunity to make contacts both from companies interested in our services and from other companies, looking for possible synergies with us. In addition to that we have known the latest industry trends in terms of Big Data, Digital Marketing and, of course, e-commerce.

During the second day, the number of people was slightly lower than the first day; however, several people were curious about our services as we conducted several demos presenting the route optimizer with built-in delivery tracking and even the digital twin to compare the optimized routes. It is worth mentioning that the interested parties understood the importance of omnichannel, speed of service, logistics cost savings among other aspects to meet the growing demand of the e-commerce sector.

Apart from that, we were able to see the awards ceremony and, with it, we have seen more clearly who are the referents of the e-commerce and digital marketing sector.

That said, we look forward to returning next year to continue taking logistics to the next level.
