Case study
Condis Supermercats
Condis is a supermarket chain that since its foundation in 1961 has managed to expand throughout Catalonia, offering a combination of physical stores and e-commerce utilities.
The Challenge
Condis faces the challenge of optimizing its logistics processes to improve efficiency and quality of utility. To do so, they decided to implement an innovative technological solution that would transform their last mile distribution and logistics management.
In addition, sustainability is a key aspect for the company.
Condis faced several key challenges in its logistics operations:
- Route planning was done manually, which consumed too much operating time and did not optimize routes, generating more CO2 emissions.
- Fleet resources were not being used efficiently, which increased logistics costs.
- The status of deliveries was known only to the drivers, so calls between drivers were very common.
- Paper-based processes generated errors and delays in delivery confirmation, and reduced customer satisfaction by not being able to track their orders in real time.
Project year: 2023
Modules: Route optimizer +Real-time delivery tracking
Vehicles: 60 vehicles
Warehouses: 1 warehouse in Montcada i Reixac
Type of distribution: Condisline, home delivery utilities and CondisGO application
“Thanks to the implementation of the route optimization software, we can now plan and execute faster and more accurate deliveries, reducing the number of kilometers traveled. It has made it easier for us to monitor and track each delivery from origin to destination, where we have achieved improved visibility for further process improvement.”
