Case study
Pikolin
Pikolin is a Spanish manufacturer of mattresses, box springs and sleep products with headquarters located in Zaragoza. The company was founded in 1948 in small premises in Zaragoza itself. They currently have offices in Spain and Portugal.
The Challenge
Pikolin was looking for a logistics solution that would optimize load allocation and reduce planning times.
In addition, they needed real-time integration with their ERP via API, Web Services or other similar methods.
Quality of utility and efficiency are important aspects of fleet optimization.
The main problems in the operation before implementing the solution were:
- Allocation was done manually, which increased the risk of errors and inefficiencies.
- Carrier selection did not consider all costs and availability, resulting in less efficient decisions.
- Fixed rules were used to assign trips, limiting flexibility and the ability to make optimal decisions in real time.
