Case study

Unidad Química

Unidad Química is a company specialized in chemical products for water treatment, industrial cleaning and maintenance. With more than 30 years of experience, it has established itself as a benchmark in the sector thanks to its commitment to quality, service and sustainability.

The Challenge

Unidad Química was interested in digitalizing its distribution operations to improve efficiency, control and traceability. To this end, a technological solution was implemented to optimize route planning, real-time tracking of deliveries and administrative management, adapting to an operation that combines own deliveries, pick-ups, punctual commercial deliveries and agency shipments.

Unidad Química's main operational problems before implementing the solution were:

  • Manual route planning without optimal consideration of constraints such as time windows, traffic or load capacities.
  • Lack of real-time visibility of delivery status and vehicle status.
  • Inefficient communication between carriers, commercial team and customers.
  • Difficulty in centralizing fleet control (fuel, breakdowns, fines...) and calculating real costs for each route.

Routes: Pick-ups and deliveries with own vehicles

“Before working with Hedyla, route planning was done manually, which was time-consuming and had little flexibility for unforeseen events. In addition, we had limited visibility into the status of deliveries, and communication between carriers, salespeople and customers was not entirely smooth. With the Hedyla solution, we have optimized the entire logistics operation. We can now plan routes automatically taking into account multiple variables, track them in real time and manage incidents with greater agility. This digitalization has allowed us to improve cost control, reduce errors and offer better customer service. It has been an important step in our commitment to efficiency and innovation.”
